We stopped hiring. Every sherwani here is either cut for you, or a finished piece we alter to fit you and you keep.

We hired for years. We do not any more — and it is worth saying why rather than quietly taking the page down.

A hired sherwani was cut for somebody else

The garment sits on the shoulder and the chest, which is exactly where tailoring cannot fake a fit. A hem comes up, a waist comes in, a shoulder does not. It shows in every photograph of the day.

What we do instead

There is a rack in the Solihull showroom — finished sherwanis, physically in the room, one of each, from £290 with alterations included. If the date is further out, the piece is cut to your measurements and your cloth.

Do you hire Asian sherwanis?
No. Sherwani King stopped hiring. Every sherwani we sell is either cut to your measurements or a finished piece from the rack that we alter to fit you.
Why doesn't sherwani hire work?
Fit, mostly. A sherwani sits on the shoulder and the chest, which tailoring cannot fake. Hire stock is also chosen for durability rather than how it looks, and it is usually the plainer end of a range.
How much does it cost to hire a sherwani in the UK?
Enough that buying is often cheaper. Our rack starts at £290 for a finished sherwani, altered free, that you keep.
Do you dress groomsmen and family?
Yes, and it is where hire fails most visibly — a row of men in garments cut for other men. Tell us who you are dressing and we will price the group properly.
