How long is an appointment?
First appointments are one hour, giving our expert stylists time to fully understand your vision, take measurements, and guide you through fabrics and designs.
Subsequent fitting appointments are also up to one hour.
What should I bring to my appointment?
For grooms, we recommend bringing a swatch, colour code, or image from the bridal outfit. This helps our stylists select the perfect accessory colours and design accents to complement the overall look.
If the bridal colour is not yet confirmed, this can be shared after your order is placed.
I haven't decided on a colour or style yet — can you help?
Absolutely. Our expert stylists provide full guidance on colour, fabric, cut, and accessories — all tailored to your event, theme, and the bridal outfit. No prior decisions are needed. That is exactly what your consultation is for.
THE BESPOKE PROCESS
How far in advance should I visit Sherwani King?
Our standard lead time is 6–12 weeks from order placement to arrival in the showroom, though this can vary depending on the time of year. More than one fitting is usually required to achieve a perfect result.
We recommend booking your consultation as early as possible to allow maximum time before your event and complete peace of mind.
I have seen a design I love elsewhere — can you make it?
Yes. As a bespoke tailoring service, we can create any style you desire. Our award-winning team will also share their professional perspective and suggest refinements to ensure your final look is uniquely yours.
What happens after I place my order?
Your order is immediately processed and forwarded to our specialist production team, who craft your bespoke piece using the finest materials and traditional techniques. You will receive an email notification when your order is ready for your fitting appointment.
How long does my order take to arrive?
Our standard lead time is 6–12 weeks from order placement to arrival in the showroom. An urgent service of up to 3 weeks is also available, subject to availability.

What happens when my order arrives?
You will receive an email confirming that your order has arrived, along with an invitation to book your fitting appointment via our website.
What happens at my fitting appointment?
At your fitting, you will try on your complete outfit to ensure it has been crafted exactly to your style and specifications. Once everything is confirmed to your satisfaction, the remaining balance is paid and your order is collected.
What if my size changes between ordering and fitting?
All bespoke garments are tailored with built-in fabric margins to accommodate size changes. If alterations are needed, our team will carry out all adjustments free of charge.
Alterations are typically completed within two weeks.

Do you provide groom's accessories?
Yes — we offer a full range of accessories to complete your look. A classic 4-piece Sherwani set includes the sherwani jacket, shirt, trousers, and shoes.
Additional accessories include an embroidered shawl, turban, turban jewellery, pearl necklace, pleated kurta shirt, ceremonial belt, and ceremonial sword.
What type of shirt and trousers are included with the Sherwani?
We provide the traditional kurta pajama — a classic shirt worn beneath the sherwani jacket. The trousers (pajama) can be tailored in a straight-cut or churidar (ringed) style, depending on your preference.
What type of shoes do you make?
For Sherwani sets, we offer classic Indian Maujri (khussa) shoes or loafer-style shoes. Both are crafted to complement the fabric and embroidery of your outfit.
For Tuxedo orders, we can also create formal dress shoes with matching fabric.
Do you provide ceremonial swords?
Yes — we offer a variety of ceremonial sword options, kept in stock at our showrooms and available to add to any order.
Do you offer outfits for groomsmen and family members?
Yes — we offer a range of coordinated pieces designed to complement the groom’s look, ensuring your wedding party is beautifully dressed without upstaging the groom. Speak to our expert stylists at your consultation to explore the options.
VIRTUAL & INTERNATIONAL
What if I cannot visit a showroom?
We offer a full virtual consultation service for clients worldwide. Following your consultation, you will receive a guided sizing link to submit your measurements and specifications.
Once your order is ready, it will be shipped to your location — please note that shipping costs apply. If any adjustments are needed after delivery, these can be made locally or by returning the garment to us.
